What Is a DTF Gang Sheet? (And Why It Cuts Your Cost)

A gang sheet is one continuous sheet of DTF film with many designs arranged on it. Instead of ordering each design separately, you fill the space you are paying for — which is where the savings come from.

Why gang sheets are cheaper

DTF is priced by film area, not by design count. A 22" × 60" sheet costs the same whether it holds one large back print or forty small logos. Every empty inch is money you paid for and did not use. Packing a sheet tightly is the single easiest way to lower your cost per print.

Sizes and pricing at Deer DTF

All our gang sheets are 22 inches wide. Length is what you choose:

• 22" × 60" (5 ft) — good for a small batch or a first order
• 22" × 120" (10 ft) — the most common size for regular sellers
• Up to 22" × 720" (60 ft) — for high-volume runs

Two ways to order

1. Build it online

2. Upload a print-ready file

If you already lay out your sheets in Illustrator, Photoshop or Affinity, use Upload Gang Sheets and send the finished file. Keep it at 300 DPI and 22 inches wide — see our file prep guide.

Laying out a sheet well

• Leave about 0.5" between designs so they are easy to cut apart
• Keep a small margin at the outer edges rather than running to the very edge
• Group by size — rows of similar heights waste less film than mixed rows
• Rotate tall narrow designs 90° if it lets you fit another column
• Add duplicates of your bestsellers to fill leftover gaps instead of leaving them empty

A worked example

Say you need twelve 4" × 4" left-chest logos and four 11" × 14" back prints. Laid out carelessly that is easily 10 ft of film. Grouped properly — back prints in a column, logos packed into the strip beside them — it fits comfortably in far less, and the difference goes straight to your margin.

Gang sheets vs. by-size ordering

If you only need a handful of prints in odd sizes, DTF Transfers by Size is simpler — you pick dimensions and we handle the layout. Gang sheets win as soon as you are ordering in volume or repeating the same designs.
